We recognize these efforts are crucial to help preserve our cultural heritage for future generations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before historical societies were formed in our community, our chapter erected local historical markers, participated in honoring the founder of Durham, and assembled many collections of genealogical value.&nbsp; Today we continue to focus on the value of history through many of our activities and programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These photos are examples of recent initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"inherit-container-width wp-block-group
